 Welcome

Welcome to Heathfield High School

Nestled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, Heathfield High School is in an idyllic setting for local and international students, just 15 minutes from central Adelaide, yet surrounded by bushland that abounds with native flora and fauna.

Built in 1963, our school quickly grew to earn a reputation for its commitment to excellence in education. This reputation continues to grow, as the school demands the best from both its teachers and students.

Our school is committed to innovation and excellence. This commitment challenges us to deliver both quality and diversity in the programs we provide.

We have a strong and cherished sense of tradition, and a genuine pride in the achievements of our past and present students.

 Carla Roskothen's Digital Storybook
Carla Roskothen was a Year 12 international student from Germany, who was at Heathfield High School from July 2016 to July 2017.

DECD International has been running a "Digital Storybook showing your time in South Australia" competition over the last 9 months, and Carla's Digital Storybook was chosen as a joint winner from the 40 entries from 11 schools. The other winner was from Henley High School.

Carla won a $500 prize for her efforts. Her entry will be used on the DECD International YouTube site and the DECD International Website.

Please take the time to watch this fantastic video by an incredible young lady who made a big impression on the staff and students she met along the way…

 SA Water STEM Quest
Recently, Eden McEwen and Philip Hutchinson and three of our students were invited to present at the Institute of Public Administration Australia Intrapreneurship Forum at Adelaide Oval. Their presentation was based on the work Phil and Eden’s classes did as part of their SA Water STEM quest last year. Their presentation was also filmed to be used as a model for DECD.

Their presentation is very impressive and can be found at http://www.hhs.sa.edu.au/app_content/downloads/news/IPAApresentation.mp4
