Watershed College a private christian school in Zimbabwe will be embarking on a tour to Australia as from the11th to the 17th of August. We are bringing with us our u15 girls volleyball team which recentlty came second in the Southern African Christian Schools' Sports Association Volleyball tournament.
We have matches programmed on Wednesday 13th August and Friday 15th August. The could play Brighton on the 14th.
Heathfield has 15 players competing in these championships.

Year 10 Boys Win State Knockout Championship
Congratulations to the yr 10 boys who competed at the state knockout championships at Marion on Friday 27th june. The Heathfield boys defeated Brighton 2-1 in the grandfinal earning them the gold medal. The girls team finished up second losing to Brighton 1-2. Congratulations to all players involved.

The first 3 rounds of Junior League have been completed. Clubs have had the chance to move their teams from division to division based on the best interests of the team and the competition. The new revised draw will be available 1st thing Thursday morning the 22nd of May.
The first round of junior league starts this friday. You can find team lists and the first 3 weeks draw on the junior League home page.
The Heathfield girls team dominated the national tournament dropping only 1 set in 7 matches. The defeated Queensland Victorian, New South Wales and ACT state treams on their undefeated run to the grand final. In a good standard battle with the strong Victorian team the Heathfield girls won 3 nil in 3 very tight sets.
The Heathfield boys team won the playoff for 5th and 6th place defeating Queenalnd.

Devo's Volleyball Blog Report on the Under 15's
Heathfield teams leave Sunday to defend their title of "Champion State" when they defeated Queenland, Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT in last years competition.

Heathfield High School is holding an Under 15 tournament for Club, School and Junior Volleyballers. We hope this will be a huge national tournament in years to come. It is held on Sunday 16th March at the new Mt Lofty Sports Centre with lots of matches and NO DUTIES. Hope to see you there. Lunch available.

Heathfield Open Honour Girls win National title again.
The Heathfield girls re established their dominance over this competition deafeating Brighton 3 nil in the Grand Final. This win gives Heathfield the dominating record of 12 wins out of the last 16 years. The Under 14 girls wnt through the tournament undefeated winning gold and with the Under 16 girls and Under 15 boys winning silver. The Under 15 girls won bronze as did the Under 15 Boys Division 1 boys team.
Congratulations to Brigton who won the Champion School Trophy.

The Heathfield High School girls dominated the recent State championships at Marion winning the event while not dropping a set. The boys got to the grand final but were beaten by a strong Brighton team 2-0.

The Heathfield boys under coach Stuart Scott won the Open State title defeating Brighton 2 sets to nil. The girls lost to Brighton 1 set to 2 after winning the 1st set easily.

The official opening ceremony was held on Tuesday 7th August with the plaque being unvailed be Minister Jane Lomax-Smith. The centre has been getting rave reviews by all concerned. Now onto stage 2 with the beach volleyball courts, the tennis courts, the climbing wall and the spectator facilities.

In an exciting and high quality game the Heathfield girls defeated their highly fancied oponents Brighton in straight sets. Heathfield won 25/20, 25/23. The Heathfield boys team won the first set in fine style but then the polished Brighton unit won the 2nd and deciding set. All in all an exciting days volleyball. Thanks to SASSSA and arena manager Peter Congdon for a great day.

The Heathfield girls player a USA college team on Thursday the 7th June. This will possible the final major volleyball event played in the old gymnasium. We all had a great time but Heathfield lost.
I think we won the netball game afterwards.

Another year has passed and national schools cup is happening again. It shall be another exciting year for Heahfield this year. Can't wait.
Parent Letter 1
In the first week of the school holidays Heathfield travelled by bus with 6 teams to the National titles in Albury. In a fantastic week Heathfield was the only "State" to make both grand finals. The boys were defeated by Queensland 3/1 and the girls 3/0 by New South Wales. The final ranking for the overall "Top State" award were as follows
1st HEATHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL (4 POINTS)
= 2nd New South Wales
(3 POINTS)
= 2nd Queensland (3 POINTS)
4th Victoria (0 POINTS)
5th ACT (0 POINTS)
As the Top State Heathfield is now going to design a seperate State flag, procliam principal Viv Rusk as Premier and will ask John Howard for it's own mUrray River water allocation.

New Zealand Schools CupAfter a stunning national beach tour season with Jo Healy Hieke Jensen has been offered a fulltime beach volleyball scholarship training at the National Beach Centre at Kidman Park.
Heathfield High School came from behind to win a sensational 13th National Schools Cup. In a stunning display Heathfeld made 5 honour grand finals winning the Under 17 honour girls and the Under 15 honours girls.
