Boys win the national titles defeating Victoria 1 in a great 5 set match. The girls came 6th - full results later
Heathfield High School sent 2 teams to this great tournament. The boys came 10th and the girls 3rd.

Heathfield High Volleyball in conjunction with the Heathfield High music program is holding a Bombora night on their new state of the art beach volleyball courts. This night will provide over three hours of fantastic music, beach volleyball finals, food and lying on the sand at Mountain Beach.

The South Australian State Under 17, 19 and 21 team trials are on the weekend of Saturday 28th February and Sunday the 1st March.
The cost for attending the trials is $5.00. Volleyball SA is selecting only one team in each division.

Heathfield High School Volleyball Program is currently in the process of building their state of the art beach volleyball courts. the courts are finished and ready to play on, however we are currently working on a pergola/kiosk area.
Thanks to all the volunteers who have dedicated their hard work into developing this facility.

Heathfield made 2 honour grand finals winning the Under 15 Honour girls in 4 sets but losing the undefeated under 17 honour girls in 5 sets against Upwey.
Congratulations to Brighton who won the overall championship for the 2nd time. In an embarrassing stuff up the organisers announced the wrong results in the closing ceremony. Heathfield did finish 2ns to Brighton with Monbulk 3rd.
On
Saturday 15th November Heathfield held their very own 'back yard blitz' to get their new beach volleyball courts ready for the delivery of sand from 48 trucks. Thanks to the 60 or so people who helped out on the day. We would be carting all the sand by hand if it wasnt for your help.

Congratulations to Aaron Kempe's, Caitlin Kempe's, Aimee Nabradi's and Rachel Wood's Junior League Teams who all won Gold last Friday at the Junior League Grandfinals.
Also congratulations to the Reserves Women 1 and The Reserves Div 2 Men who both won silver and the Div 3 women who won Gold last Saturday at the State League Grandfinals.

Year 10 Boys Win State Knockout Championship
Congratulations to the yr 10 boys who competed at the state knockout championships at Marion on Friday 27th june. The Heathfield boys defeated Brighton 2-1 in the grandfinal earning them the gold medal. The girls team finished up second losing to Brighton 1-2. Congratulations to all players involved.

The Heathfield girls team dominated the national tournament dropping only 1 set in 7 matches. The defeated Queensland Victorian, New South Wales and ACT state treams on their undefeated run to the grand final. In a good standard battle with the strong Victorian team the Heathfield girls won 3 nil in 3 very tight sets.
The Heathfield boys team won the playoff for 5th and 6th place defeating Queenalnd.

The Team of the Century Dinner was a huge success. It was excellent to be able to catch up with everyone and the feedback that we received was very positive. Congratulations to those men and women who received the honour of being selected in the team.

Heathfield High School is holding an Under 15 tournament for Club, School and Junior Volleyballers. We hope this will be a huge national tournament in years to come. It is held on Sunday 16th March at the new Mt Lofty Sports Centre with lots of matches and NO DUTIES. Hope to see you there. Lunch available.

The official opening ceremony was held on Tuesday 7th August with the plaque being unvailed be Minister Jane Lomax-Smith. The centre has been getting rave reviews by all concerned. Now onto stage 2 with the beach volleyball courts, the tennis courts, the climbing wall and the spectator facilities.
In the first week of the school holidays Heathfield travelled by bus with 6 teams to the National titles in Albury. In a fantastic week Heathfield was the only "State" to make both grand finals. The boys were defeated by Queensland 3/1 and the girls 3/0 by New South Wales. The final ranking for the overall "Top State" award were as follows
1st HEATHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL (4 POINTS)
= 2nd New South Wales
(3 POINTS)
= 2nd Queensland (3 POINTS)
4th Victoria (0 POINTS)
5th ACT (0 POINTS)
As the Top State Heathfield is now going to design a seperate State flag, procliam principal Viv Rusk as Premier and will ask John Howard for it's own mUrray River water allocation.
