Volleyball team from Zimbawe plan to play Heathfield

Watershed College a private christian school in Zimbabwe will be embarking on a tour to Australia as from the11th to the 17th of August. We are bringing with us our u15 girls volleyball team which recentlty came second in the Southern African Christian Schools' Sports Association Volleyball tournament.

We have matches programmed on Wednesday 13th August and Friday 15th August. The could play Brighton on the 14th.

Year 10 Boys Win State Knockout Championship




Congratulations to the yr 10 boys who competed at the state knockout championships at Marion on Friday 27th june. The Heathfield boys defeated Brighton 2-1 in the grandfinal earning them the gold medal. The girls team finished up second losing to Brighton 1-2. Congratulations to all players involved.

The first 3 rounds of Junior League have been completed. Clubs have had the chance to move their teams from division to division based on the best interests of the team and the competition. The new revised draw will be available 1st thing Thursday morning the 22nd of May.

Heathfield girls team defeat Victoria for the National Under 15 title.

The Heathfield girls team dominated the national tournament dropping only 1 set in 7 matches. The defeated Queensland Victorian, New South Wales and ACT state treams on their undefeated run to the grand final. In a good standard battle with the strong Victorian team the Heathfield girls won 3 nil in 3 very tight sets.

The Heathfield boys team won the playoff for 5th and 6th place defeating Queenalnd.

Heathfield teams leave Sunday to defend their title of "Champion State" when they defeated Queenland, Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT in last years competition.

AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLS CUP

Heathfield Open Honour Girls win National title again.
The Heathfield girls re established their dominance over this competition deafeating Brighton 3 nil in the Grand Final. This win gives Heathfield the dominating record of 12 wins out of the last 16 years. The Under 14 girls wnt through the tournament undefeated winning gold and with the Under 16 girls and Under 15 boys winning silver. The Under 15 girls won bronze as did the Under 15 Boys Division 1 boys team.

Congratulations to Brigton who won the Champion School Trophy.

YEAR 8/9 GIRLS DOMINATE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Heathfield High School girls dominated the recent State championships at Marion winning the event while not dropping a set. The boys got to the grand final but were beaten by a strong Brighton team 2-0.

Congratulations to Brighton High School who won the State Schools Cup. This is their second win in a row. "Rats" . A great effort by Brighton. Heathfield has some catching up to do..

HEATHFIELD BOYS WIN STATE TITLE

The Heathfield boys under coach Stuart Scott won the Open State title defeating Brighton 2 sets to nil. The girls lost to Brighton 1 set to 2 after winning the 1st set easily.

NEW GYM OFFICALLY OPENED

The official opening ceremony was held on Tuesday 7th August with the plaque being unvailed be Minister Jane Lomax-Smith. The centre has been getting rave reviews by all concerned. Now onto stage 2 with the beach volleyball courts, the tennis courts, the climbing wall and the spectator facilities.

Heathfield Girls win Yr 10 State Titles !

In an exciting and high quality game the Heathfield girls defeated their highly fancied oponents Brighton in straight sets. Heathfield won 25/20, 25/23. The Heathfield boys team won the first set in fine style but then the polished Brighton unit won the 2nd and deciding set. All in all an exciting days volleyball. Thanks to SASSSA and arena manager Peter Congdon for a great day.

Heathfield Open Girls play USA college team!

The Heathfield girls player a USA college team on Thursday the 7th June. This will possible the final major volleyball event played in the old gymnasium. We all had a great time but Heathfield lost.
I think we won the netball game afterwards.

Heathfield to Leave Queens College
Ormond College - here we come

After many enjoyable years of using Queen's College as our accommodation base for the National Schools Cup in Melbourne, Heathield has had to move to Ormond College as Queen's was too small for the 20 Heathfield teams. See our new accommodation here.....

Heathfield crowned "Top State in National Under 15 Titles - Albury 2007

In the first week of the school holidays Heathfield travelled by bus with 6 teams to the National titles in Albury. In a fantastic week Heathfield was the only "State" to make both grand finals. The boys were defeated by Queensland 3/1 and the girls 3/0 by New South Wales. The final ranking for the overall "Top State" award were as follows

1st HEATHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL (4 POINTS)
= 2nd New South Wales (3 POINTS)
= 2nd Queensland (3 POINTS)
4th Victoria (0 POINTS)
5th ACT (0 POINTS)

As the Top State Heathfield is now going to design a seperate State flag, procliam principal Viv Rusk as Premier and will ask John Howard for it's own mUrray River water allocation.

A big thank you to the coaches and managers who helped.

AIS Beach Volleyball Scholarship.

After a stunning national beach tour season with Jo Healy Hieke Jensen has been offered a fulltime beach volleyball scholarship training at the National Beach Centre at Kidman Park.

Heathfield volleyballers dominate National Beach Volleyball Titles

In the Junjior National beach volleyball titles held at Glenelg South Australia dominated winning 6 gold medals out of 12 possible. Heathfield students won all 6 of the South Australian tally. Sam Boehm and Stuart Maycock won the Under 21 men, Jo Healey and Heike Jensen won the Under 21 women and Sasha Olerhi and Josh Lowrie won the Under 17 title.

Heathfield Volleyball Squad win national title for the 13th year

Heathfield High School came from behind to win a sensational 13th National Schools Cup. In a stunning display Heathfeld made 5 honour grand finals winning the Under 17 honour girls and the Under 15 honours girls.

Mt Lofty Girls win national AVL title

The Mt Lofty AVL team which is nearly a Heathfield Old Scholars team had a stunning victory in the televised national finals in Melbourne defeating the champion Sydney Kuhmo Lions team. See the photos.

Gym sees improvement
