SUBJECT OVERVIEW

The Windows to Construction course is a semester program that is a highly practical one which is supported by theory and is designed for students wishing to explore a career in the building and construction industry. The focus is on providing hands on practical experience in the trade areas of carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, joinery, plastering, plaster board fixing/flushing and gardening. This course is intended for only those who are interested in applying for Certificate II Doorways to Construction and other construction/trade VET courses as well as those interested in School Based Apprenticeships and full-time Apprenticeships. Without selecting this course students will not be eligible to apply for a number of VET courses with the AHSP partnership, specifically those requiring the White Card training.
