SACE Stage 1: 10 Credits / 1 Semester / Responsible Living

Pre-Requisite: A written application must be submitted during the enrolment process. A letter from a club or successful completion of a year 10 responsible living subject, with a recommendation from your year 10 responsible living or volleyball teacher must be provided to your course advisor on subject selection day. A skill based test may be required.

If year 10 Football was successfully completed, no application is necessary.


Students engage in a range of activities and skills with an aim of being able to play football at a high level. This includes developing their skills and game play, whilst also analysing the same. This will be balanced with theory work about coaching and skill analysis.

  • position specific fitness development

Theory topics include

  • nutrition
  • training methods
  • technique analysis
  • coaching level 1 (AFL accredited)



Students are assessed against the SACE Stage 1 Integrated Learning achievement standards.

  • practical assessment through game play and simulation drills
  • coaching course and practical completion
  • written tasks

Additional Information

Costs:  $40 for training guernsey and gym visits  subject to change in 2020

Students must supply their own football boots
