SUBJECT OVERVIEW

Students will experience an introduction to media art concepts and techniques, broadening their knowledge and understanding of media arts. Students will respond to practitioners and works, applying technology. Students will be able to create, manipulate to communicate ideas and stories to a specific audience.

Students will apply their skills individually and within collaborative practice, reflecting and evaluating progress throughout the term.

Topics may include

analysis: narrative
knowledge of camera
basic photography techniques
adobe photoshop
film making/ animation
movie maker/ adobe premier pro
language of media arts

ASSESSMENT

Students are assessed against the media arts australian curriculum achievement standards:

folio documenting planning and ideas
products photography and film
analysis, reflection and evaluation of own and other practitioners

Additional Information

Students will require:

USB storage device
students may need to purchase additional internet and or printing credit
