11 Activating Identities and Futures

SUBJECT OVERVIEW

Activating Identities and Futures (AIF) is a compulsory Stage 2 subject of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Students must complete AIF to a C standard or better.
At Heathfield High School students complete this subject in Year 11.

It is eligible for an ATAR.

The course includes:

  • Taking ownership and agency over learning
  • Selecting relevant strategies to explore, conceptualise, create and/or plan to progress an area of personal interest
  • Creating a learning output
  • Evaluating value and purpose of learning

ASSESSMENT

Assessment tasks include a combination of:

School Assessment

  • Assessment Type 1: Portfolio (30%)
  • Assessment Type 2: Progress Checks (40%)

External assessment

  • Assessment Type 3: Appraisal (30%)
