They examine diverse attitudes, values and beliefs about childhood and the care of children. Topics cover the nature of contemporary families and the changing roles of children in a contemporary consumer society.

Students have the opportunity to develop problem solving skills, applying solutions to practical situations. This is a useful subject for students to complete if interested in working with children or completing Stage 2 Child Studies.

Topics may include

  • child development 0 to 8 years
  • working with junior primary children
